You guys! Are you on snapchat? We finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and download the social media app. And we LOVE IT. At first, we were a tad hesitant to commit to yet another social media platform, because we honestly didn’t get it…but it’s happening! We’ve decided it’s could be a fun way to let all of you have a sneak peak into our adventurous lifestyle.

The more we explore the app, the more reasons we find why we love Snapchat. We are drawn to how authentic it is – no filters, no editing, no curating – just real time us. Soooo…we are snapping! Sometimes it will be us at the grocery store, other times it will be behind the scenes of our engagement sessions, and weddings. And of course we will be taking you with us when we travel and work on our 1976 Land Yacht Sovereign Airstream.  You’ll just have to follow us at username: moosestudio to see what we are up to!

When we first downloaded Snapchat, we were completely confused on what to do. Today we are sharing our step-by-step instructions for how to quickly add friends on Snapchat.

Step 1 – Log into Snapchat

Step 2 – Tap “Add Friends”

Step 3 – Choose one of the four options for how to add friends on Snapchat

Add by Username

If you know someone’s username, you can search for their account here. Unfortunately, you can’t just search for them using their name. Our username is moosestudio.

Add From Address Book

This option allows you to see Snapchat users from your address book! You can add any of your existing contacts that are already using Snapchat. You can also invite contacts to start using it if they aren’t already.

Add by Snapcode

This option has two possibilities. If you are with your friend, you can take a snap of their Snapchat home screen and it will automatically add them to your friends list. The second option is to save their Snapcode to your camera roll. Right now, you can take a snap of the photo above, or save it to your camera roll, and you will automatically have a new friend…us! Pretty cool huh?

Add Nearby

The last option is to add friends through people who may be near you. If you want to add a friend who is nearby, you both have to be in the Add Nearby option to add each other.

It’s as simple as that! Now you should be able to add friends on Snapchat and keep up with their daily happenings. We can’t wait to see you on the app!
