We have been so busy this last month, we haven’t had much time to work on the Airstream trailer renovation! We have only been up a handful of times, but have definitely been making more progress that is now a bit more visible to the eye. If you’ve missed our last progress update, you can check it out here.
This week we enlisted the help from our family to install the last of the insulation in the ceiling, and rivet the ceiling up into place. Trust me when I say, it was by no means an easy feat. The aluminum skins are very heavy and took all of us to hold it up while Josh ran around punching in rivets. There may or may not have been some inappropriate words thrown around!
My grandpa and Josh’s dad worked together to figure out the ceiling light electrical…
A metal beam was riveted up as added support for the ceiling panel on either side of the trailer…
Go time! Ceiling in route to be raised…
Since it required all of us to be involved in raising the ceiling, I wasn’t able to take photos. It’s up now though! We took a celebratory photo…
Never underestimate the difficulty of a project such as this one. I promise it will be worth it in the end though!
Love the updates, keep them coming!!
