Of all the students in his high school class, she stood out. Brett noticed Caroline’s dark hair, and beautiful smile and knew she was different. He was intrigued and planned to get to know his classmate.

When she left to study abroad in Europe, he missed her tremendously. He worked hard to save his lunch for an entire year, just to visit her there. When she returned home, they became inseparable.

After years of dating, Caroline became much more than just his girlfriend. He knew it was time to make things official. While folding laundry together in their closet, he completely took her off guard by getting down on one knee, and proposing to her.

Of course she said yes!

For their engagement session, we adventured to the same forest where Brett grew up as a young boy – Big Bear, California. Their shared love for adventure and the outdoors, made the location the perfect place to hang out for the day.

…and so the adventure begins…

He led her confidently to the perfect spot for looking out at the lake together…

It was a warm sunny day, with not a cloud in the sky…

After a quick outfit change, and matching shoes, we headed into the forest…

The forest had become a sanctuary to them when they needed to get away from the rush of life.

They held each other close, reminded of why they loved sitting amongst the trees so much.

Both big kids at heart, Brett knew exactly how to get Caroline to smile…

These two were so much fun to be around! Their laughter, and happy-go-lucky attitude towards life was infectious.

Caroline, you are such a beauty…

Sometimes, the sunlight filtered through the trees just right, and magic fills the air…

We can’t wait to celebrate with them at one of the happiest, and most magical places on Earth next year…Disneyland.
