Krista and Kyle met in a college accounting class. They were assigned to be in the same group on a class project and started talking and studying together. After what seemed to be many months later, Kyle worked up the courage to ask her out.
Fast forward four years of wild, fun adventures together…He proposed!
It was right before their four year anniversary. They had been hanging out all weekend, but with no plans set in stone. In the morning, Kyle asked Krista to have her parents got on a hike with their dogs and them. During the hike, Kyle kept trying to get away from her. She was totally confused about what was going on. All she knew, was that he was acting really weird.
Her parents decided to host them that night for dinner. She went along with it since it was Kyle’s choice to decide how they spent their anniversary. During dinner, he took each of her parents separately to talk to them. She tried to follow him to see what was going on, but he brushed her off.
As they left her parents house after dinner, Kyle asked Krista if she wanted her anniversary surprise right then, or in the morning. “I want it now since I have work tomorrow morning,” she said. “Will you marry me?” he said. She stood there completely shocked – looking back and forth between Kyle and their two dogs. She said YES! Afterwards, it slowly started to make sense why Kyle was being so weird and sneaky the whole day.
Krista and Kyle, thank you for letting us have fun with you guys in the Colorado Mountains. You both were SO brave when we stuck you on the ledge of the Lost Gulch Lookout in Boulder! I hope you love the moments we captured as much as we do <3
The first few moments of a couple or engagement session are usually the most awkward…but Krista and Kyle had no fear!
They completely trusted us, and were just their wild, carefree selves…
It was so beautiful to witness how in love they were with each other…it was pretty much non stop giggles.
At an elevation of about 6,000 feet we had the most perfect 360 degree view of the mountains…
Krista led Kyle to the edge of the lookout…
We’re pretty much obsessed with Krista’s cream maxi dress from Lulu’s…
Our hearts beat faster as we got closer to the edge. The lighting was magical…
I mean, DAMN, they are gorgeous humans!
…and even more incredible…they have the cutest little girl at home.
By this time, a few other people joined us at The Lost Gulch Lookout to watch the sunset…
But Krista and Kyle stayed in their own little world…
When the session was over, Krista led Kyle back to the parking lot where we all said our goodbyes…
We will never forget the beauty of Colorado, and are praying we get to go back really soon.
Thank you so much for adventuring with us!!!
