The wedding day is one of the most important occasions in Persian culture. It is an event where all are invited, no expenses are spared and much feasting takes place. Soudeh and Bardiyah’s wedding was no exception. It was a five star production, with not a detail missed.
With their family and friends gathered around them, Soudeh and Bardiyah promised eternity together under a white canopy held by her bridesmaids. The rest of the evening was spent dancing and cheering to celebrate to what may have been the happiest couple in the world that day.
Soudeh and Bardiyah, I hope you’re enjoying married life and soaking in every beautiful ray of love. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for asking Tiffany from Eliza J Photography for me be a part of your special day. Much love and appreciation….Michaela.
The wedding day began with preparation at Hotel Irvine…Soudeh had an amazing group of girls helping her do her hair and makeup. She snuck away for a quiet moment to read a letter from her soon to be husband…
Soudeh was lucky enough to have her beautiful sister help her into her dress and every step of the way…
Meanwhile, on the other side of Hotel Irvine, Bardiyah was getting ready with his groomsmen…
And they sure know how to have a good time! No shortage of jokes and laughter with these guys…
Soudeh and Bardiyah opted to see each other before the ceremony, and had their first look at Mission San Juan…
We spent the afternoon roaming through Mission San Juan in beautiful California light…
Just look at her face radiating with happiness…
And this? This is one of the most stunning Persian ceremony tables a girl could ask for…
The ceremony began by signing their marriage agreement. While the officiant is talking, a family member rubbed sugar cones above the canopy to shower the couple in sweetness…
To symbolize their promise to feed each other sweetness and sustenance throughout their lives…they feed each other asap (honey) on the tips of their pinky fingers.
At last, the groom is free to kiss his beautiful bride…
Many, many thanks to the team at Hotel Irvine for orchestrating a perfect day…they worked tirelessly to ensure it was flawless…
The team transformed the ballroom into elegant golds and pops of pink…
I must say, Persians sure know how to dance! The dancing went well into the night and ended with this beautiful dance between the bride and groom…
Many thanks to the incredible team…
