1976 Vintage Airstream Renovation : Week 5

October 8, 2015

This week in our 1976 Airstream renovation, we are back to the electrical! My grandpa created a custom 7 pin wire so we can now tow our Airstream to it’s new home when we are ready! Things are finally appearing to be coming along…

We officially now have all the electrical done on the trailer and closed up all the walls. It’s starting to look more like home now.

After repairing the bulkhead in the front of the Airstream and riveting it back into place, we decided it was time to paint away all the discoloring plastic.

It looks pretty good eh? Sorry for all the stuff in the way, we had to clear out the other side of the trailer to make room for painting. I think it’s really starting to show some visible progress…

We have started cleaning the interior wall skins with TSP, and will begin painting next week. Exciting stuff!

Be sure to check back next week for updates on the progress of our airstream.

Happy Thursday!
