Flying To Canada For Our First Destination Wedding

May 24, 2014

Filed in: Travel

Today has been one of those days where I feel like I am dreaming. Time is just flying by, and I am standing still in the middle of it. Has that ever happened to you?! It’s honestly one of the most bizarre feelings.

In reality, we have been running around like crazy since the New Year started, preparing for our first wedding of the season. Not only is it our first wedding of the the season, but our first destination wedding in Canada! There has been so much to do. Renewing our passports, confirming travel arrangements, and trying to figure out what the heck to pack. Oh, packing!!! I despise it. I really do. Too many choices, and not a big enough suitcase!

Today, Josh and I are leaving to Canada for the destination wedding we have been preparing for, and we couldn’t be more excited! Not only are we shooting the destination wedding, but Josh and I are going to spend time with his Canadian family that he hasn’t seen in years! This will not only be my first time to Canada, but my first time out of the country and on a plane!!!

The good news is, our terminal number is 3, which has always been my lucky number, so crossing my fingers this is a positive sign from the Universe! I am secretly a tad nervous, but I am throwing good vibes out there that it will all go well.

The wedding ceremony and reception will be in Kelowna, BC, Canada at the Summerhill Pyramid Winery. From the few photos we have seen online, it looks like it is stunning wedding venue!

The property offers three options for the ceremony site : the Summerhill Pyramid, the Vineyard Ballroom, the Heritage Lawn and the Vineyard Lawn, all of which have their own unique style. I believe our bride has chosen to wed on the Heritage Lawn, and the way she described her vision for her wedding day sounds absolutely perfect!

We’ll be gone though May 31st, so if you call or email us, our response may be delayed until we have access to wi-fi!

We’ll be blogging our adventures, so be sure to check back to see what we are up to! You can follow us on Instagram @moosestudio for our day-to-day updates.
