Over eight years ago, Brooke and Bennett met through mutual friends at their high school. After chasing each other for several years, Bennett finally made a move and asked her to be his girlfriend – they dated for five loooong years. Their love story is one of patience, persistence and many prayers.
On the day he proposed, Brooke new something was about to happen. Knowing that Bennett was terrible at keeping secrets, Brooke got her hair done at the salon that morning. Bennett was acting really strange, and talking fast as they drove to the La Griffith Observatory to hang out for the day. As the sun set at the Observatory, Bennett began professing his love to her, before nervously getting down on one knee to ask her to be his bride. Brooke smirked and replied, “Duh!” as her face began to break into a huge smile. He picked her up and twirled her around in utter happiness.
Brooke and Bennett, your love story is adorable. We love how similar it is to ours, and we totally get you two! We wish you the best of luck in your move to Texas. We know you will make friends anywhere you go, and bring the sunshine with you. Much Love and Appreciation…Michaela and Josh.
The day began in San Juan Capistrano near the train tracks. Brooke and Bennett opted to do a first look so they could calm their nerves before the ceremony…
Initially, Bennett hesitated to turn around… and in Brooke fashion she said, “Don’t you want to see me?! Turn around!”
Ben kissed her on the cheek and squeezed her tightly as she grinned over his shoulder…
They stole a few more kisses before we headed to take portraits…
Their laid back vibe fit well within the cactus of San Juan Capistrano…
Brooke looked simply fabulous!!!
…as did her bridesmaids and their bouquets…
The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at the Franciscan Gardens where Brooke’s Dad proudly walked her down the aisle toward the man of her dreams…
Ben’s sister did such a wonderful job officiating the wedding…
Everyone was laughing and crying tears of joy…
Until the moment they were made officially, husband and wife…
Their wedding decorations were simple, but elegant…a perfect combination for the Franciscan Gardens wedding venue…
Mason jars lined the ceiling with glowing tea lights…
Simply Sweet Cakery did such a wonderful job with the cake and all the sweets…
The florals, provided by Little Hill Floral Design were simply gorgeous, and the perfect touch to the wedding decor…
Brooke and Ben chose handwritten song lyrics to be stuck on each table. They used these in a fun wedding day game they played with the guests…
The rest of the night was honestly crazy fun and wild. Tequila shots with lime were passed around and the guests danced into the late night.
Thanks to the incredible team who put together this beautiful wedding for Brooke and Bennett…
